Top 10 Family Movies to Watch on Movie Night
Family movies can be such an opportunity for us to share movies that we loved from our childhood, furthermore, It’s such a great excuse for the whole family to cuddle under a blanket and eat popcorn right!
Family movie nights are sacred in our home. We have one TV in our whole home and we only let the kids watch it on Friday movie nights, and on Saturdays for one hour. hence, limiting screen time
My kids can never get enough of Tv, once they are in front of it. As a result of knowing how bad it is for them, we limited television to our weekly Movie nights. That way they know their limitations and they don’t ask about it on any other day.
I’m sharing with you our top 10 family night movies that are loved by all ages.
On this list, you will find movies that our kids just love. Movies that created our most memorable movie night, that ends with hugs and kisses. Furthermore, these are movies that teach our kids great values.
We encourage the girls to read by asking about the movies they want to watch and if the movie is based on a book we let them read the book first in order to see the movie.
On our “Reading Tuesdays”, they tell us about the book and read a couple of pages. That way, our youngest four-year-old daughter feels like she read the book as well, before watching the movie.
#1 We Bought a Zoo
We bought a zoo is a comedy-family movie based on a true story and “oh! how I love me a great true story”.
